A 19-year-old man steps out of a car, shoots an officer with a BB gun, and somehow doesn’t die.
On September 29 Orem, Utah police officers initiated a traffic stop on a motorist who was transporting 160 pounds of dumbass in the backseat of their vehicle. Orem officers were given false information by 19-year-old Anton Bay who was sitting in the backseat.
One officer is speaking with Anton trying to tell him that they know he gave them false information. Suddenly, Anton does about the dumbest thing we’ve ever seen. The bright young man throws the rear door open and steps out with a BB gun.
He fires the BB gun, which looks exactly like a real gun, several times at the officer who is recording. The officer who was speaking creates some distance and draws his weapon. The officer closest to Anton closes the distance and disarms him.
The two officers take Anton to the ground and place him into custody. He was charged with assault on a police officer, possession of marijuana, providing false information, and unlawful possession of alcohol.
Orem authorities told reporters that it was probably an attempted suicide by cop because Anton had several outstanding warrants for his arrest and didn’t want to go to jail.
